- gendreau design LLC is a full-service, professional design firm providing the latest in computer-generated drawings (including 3d modeling/renderings - interior and exterior design studies/final design solutions) of residential, small commercial building and tenant improvement plans - Our architectural design services are as extensive as our client's specific needs - from 1hr on-site design consultations to full architectural design services, including project construction observation (to make sure what you have designed with us gets built the way you envisioned through the process). gendreau design LLC has been serving trusting clients in the Columbia River Gorge and beyond since 1999. Timothy A. Gendreau, Principal and Owner, originated from Langdon, North Dakota and approaches his design solutions with a practical knowledge and background in the construction and building trades. Tim studied architectural drafting and estimating technology at NDSCS in the early 80's and also earned a carpenters certificate from a 2-year trade school in Moorhead Minnesota. From the practical background through his conceptual and theoretical studies at Arizona State University, Tim brings a well-rounded education to assist in the design process and guide you through the construction of your project to completion. Tim was fortunate to gain some exciting and innovative design influence while working downtown San Francisco with Hill Architects on various resort hotel projects throughout the world. It was while working with Michael Wike, Architect, AIA in Gualala, CA (early 90's) where Tim found his true passion in residential design and the art of blending architecture with the environment. Tim was fortunate to have the opportunity to assist Michael Wike in the design and production drawing process of various residential and small commercial projects at Sea Ranch (a planned residential community that stretches 10 miles long and 1 mile wide along the northern California coast- developed in the 60's). Every building site has its challenges and natural beauty/microclimate - it is our job as design professionals, architects, to give our best educated response to that in our final design solutions - to blend lightly on the land!
