General Info

Chris Kilbridge is an architect and the principal of CKA//Christopher Kilbridge Architect, which he founded in 2005. Prior to this he was a partner in the architecture firm Artifact Design+Construction, based in New York City. He has worked on a wide variety of project types—including commercial, educational, residential, institutional and pro bono commissions—and collaborated with clients who’s needs have ranged in scale from furniture design to regional facilities planning.  Chris’s work has been recognized for its design excellence by award and competition juries—such as the Boston Society of Architects, Friends of The Highline, the Holocaust Human Rights Center of Maine and Transportation Alternatives—and has been published internationally in magazines and books, including Architecture Magazine, Dwell, Materials for Design (Princeton Architectural Press), XS: Big Ideas, Small Buildings (Thames & Hudson) and House Plus (Thames & Hudson). Pro Bono work is integral to Chris's practice.  He has devoted time to such not-for-profit as Friends of the India Street Pier, New York New Visions, Transportation Alternatives and The Cape Cod Modern House Trust. He currently presides over the Board of Directors of Highland Affordable Housing, Inc. He has taught design at Syracuse, the University of New Mexico, Wentworth Institute and other graduate programs. 

He received his Masters of Architecture From Columbia University. In 1986 he was awarded a Montgomery Research Fellowship to conduct fieldwork in the Middle East. Chris is a licensed architect in Massachusetts and New York State. He is a member of the AIA/Boston Society of Architects, NCARB certified and a LEED AP.
