Traditional. Many of the firm’s projects involve renovating homes and designing suitable additions. Daniel Contelmo Architects is sensitive to the existing structure; they research traditional styles, when necessary, to maintain the authenticity of the home. Drawing from appropriate historic styles, the firm creates an enhanced version of the original house – additions give the illusion that they have always been there, or a progression of structures suggests that they could have been built over time. Whether a new construction or an addition, each design tells a story.

Timeless. Architecture reflects the attitudes of the times and Daniel Contelmo Architects feels responsible for making each home representative of their clients as well as the current culture. Over the course of time, houses change hands; the firm would like their homes to become historic, whether because they are representative of the current era, or because they have historic roots that have been restored and enhanced.
