CPA Firms

The firm has extensive experience in the areas of audit and review, all matters of taxation, as well as litigation support. A summary of the three principals in the firm follows: Barry Charles received his BS in Accounting from USC. He also attended USC Law School. He worked for the CPA firm of Steres, Alpert and Co. in Beverly Hills for three years at which time he joined his Charles, Blank & Karp (and itÕs successor firms) and has been with them since. He is currently the firm's managing partner. Mitchell Blank received his BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He attended graduate school at UCLA, and received his CPA certificate in 1972. Mr. Blank was a senior auditor for Arthur Young & Company for five years in charge of certified audit and reviews. He has been with Charles, Blank & Karp since 1976. James Karp received an MS in Taxation form Golden Gate University. He also received a BS in Accounting and a BS in Real Estate from California State University Northridge. Prior to joining the firm in 1989, Mr. Karp had worked for Price Waterhouse as well as two other local firms.
