In May of 1988 our founder and one of our current owners Matt Schmidt was getting multiple calls from large companies like Burlington Air Express and Kmart Distribution to come and fix their personal computers and printers. With some backing from his parents and all the money he had, he opened up A Plus Computers on Clinton street in October of 1988. Always keeping in mind that the customer is the most important thing in any business, A Plus grew very fast. Since the early years of business with only two employees ( Matt and his Mother Sue ) to now with partner Tony Pearson and over 15 employees while constantly changing to keep up with the industry, one thing hasn't changed the customer is still the most important thing. We have moved from the original 1200 square foot store to over 5000 square feet at our new facility at 4730 Parnell Ave and our second location in the Pine Valley shopping mall. What have we added besides computers? We have the biggest service department in the area, with both inside and outside service departments. We specialize in helping large and small business's keep up and running including legal, educational, accounting, churches and manufacturing to name a few. We have a large inventory of computer parts, networking products, cables, toners and ink products. We have also become the virus and spyware experts in the area. We have added re-manufactured toner and ink cartridges to help our environment and help our customers save money. We now also offer a recycling service for old computer products. We have always kept in mind good Christian values when running our business. We will even pickup and deliver your computer if you are unable to get to either of our stores. Things you may not have known about us. We do complete networks from conception to onsite administration. We offer on site repair. We are locally owned and operated. We work on about every kind of computer, printer and notebook. We have pricing that is competitive and usually lower than Internet and big box stores. We stock a large variety of products to help you keep up and running with minimal down time. We hire locally, we pay local taxes and we support our local community fully. We are one of the oldest computer stores in the area.
