- Allen Goodman is President of ECG Consulting Group Inc Mr. Goodman's consulting activities are focused on providing U.S. and international clients with strategic market planning, technology commercialization and business strategy & development services to help accelerate the growth and development of their businesses.Mr. Goodman's clients range from Fortune 100 clients to emerging technology growth companies in the advanced materials, energy, environmental, life sciences, and information technology industries. Mr. Goodman has worked in wide variety of business sectors including composites, power systems and services, transmission & distribution, energy storage, distributed generation, monitoring & diagnostics systems, medical diagnostic equipment, advanced technology components, environmental systems, engineering services, communications and information technology products & services.Prior to joining ECG, Mr. Goodman held senior management positions at Simon & Schuster and Booz Allen & Hamilton. At Simon & Schuster, a $2 billion information technology and publishing firm, he was Vice President - Planning responsible for leading the integration and restructuring of the firm's operations infrastructure following more than 50 acquisitions. He led major projects that streamlined administration, logistics/distribution, customer service and the material purchasing organizations, which resulted in operating cost savings of more than $50 million. At Booz Allen & Hamilton, Mr. Goodman managed consulting engagements for leading U.S., Canadian, Japanese, U.K. and French firms in the energy, information technology and telecommunications industries. He specialized in strategic market planning, acquisition planning and operations restructuring. While attending The Wharton School, Mr. Goodman was awarded a Management Consulting Fellowship. Under this Fellowship, he developed and implemented financial and marketing strategies for more than 25 new ventures and firms in the information technology, consumer products, health care and fitness industries.Mr. Goodman has an A.B. degree, with honors in Economics, from Harvard University and an M.B.A. degree from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Goodman currently serves as Regional Director - Upper New York State on the Board of Directors of the Harvard Alumni Association ( HAA ). He is also a Member of the HAA Board's Clubs and Communications Committees, Co-Chair of Harvard Alumni Association's 2006 Alumni Leadership Conference and a Board Member and past President of the Harvard University Club of Eastern New York.
