- In 1989, Brent Wilkes and five other partners founded MMA Consulting Group, formerly a division of the Massachusetts Municipal Association, that was incorporated to serve the management needs of local governments. From 1989 to 1995, the firm conducted scores of consulting projects for local governments throughout the country on virtually all aspects of municipal management. In 1995, MMA Consulting Group was dissolved and MMA Management Services was established to focus on long-term management assignments with nonprofit associations. The name of the company was updated in 1999 to Northeast Association Management to more accurately reflect the services that NEAMI provides. NEAMI s nonprofit services include growing existing organizations, feasibility analysis, trade show sales and conference management, nondues revenue generation, corporate sponsorship programs, advertising sales, visual communications, organizational design, budget management, strategic planning, recruitment and evaluation of personnel, event and meeting planning and self-insurance services. Northeast Association Management is headquartered in Latham, N.Y.
